Criteria Trips Act Description
The Criteria Trips Act, introduced by Mr. Curtis Rodzaiah, Secretary of the Kirtland Central High School Business Professionals of America (BPA), aims to establish stringent standards and qualifications for members and elected officers to attend future BPA event trips. This resolution, enacted by the 35th BPA Legislation, outlines the following key criteria:
-
Attendance: Members must attend at least 90% of chapter meetings, all service projects, and concession stands. Three unexcused absences will result in ineligibility for trips.
-
Academic Performance: Members are required to maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 with no failing grades. Grade checks must be submitted quarterly, and any failing grades will result in ineligibility for trips.
-
Leadership and Participation: Members must hold a leadership position or actively participate in at least one committee. Inactive members will be deemed ineligible for trips.
-
Community Service: Members must complete a minimum of 20 hours of community service per semester. Failure to meet this requirement will result in ineligibility for trips.
-
Meeting Responsibilities: Members are required to assist with the setup and cleanup of all chapter meetings. Non-compliance will lead to ineligibility for trips.
This resolution is set to take effect on January 30, 2024, upon being signed into law by the Chapter President and Chapter Advisor of the Kirtland Central High School BPA.
