KCHS BPA Holds First Officer Meeting for the 2025-2026 Year

Press Release | April 22, 2025

Kirtland Central High School’s Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter successfully held its first officer meeting for the 2025-2026 year last night. The meeting brought together a diverse audience, including parents, members, outgoing officers, and proud alumni, making it a memorable start to the new administration’s term.

The agenda featured several key discussions, such as preparations and costs for the National Leadership Conference (NLC). One significant decision made during the meeting was a chapter motion to adjust the weekly meeting schedule. Effective immediately, meetings originally held every Monday night at 6:30 PM will now take place every other week. This change was proposed by Reporter Tayla Nez and seconded by Secretary Tysaiah Wartz. The motion was unanimously approved, showcasing the collaborative spirit of the officer team.

The chapter also formally welcomed its new officers, including Tayla Nez, who will serve as the Reporter for the 2025-2026 term. The new officers are set to begin training under the guidance of outgoing officers starting in May and continuing through the summer to ensure a smooth transition and successful leadership term.

In a touching gesture, former Secretary and esteemed alumni, Rodzaiah Curtis, presented the new officers with personalized name tags as parting gifts. This meaningful tradition, initiated by Curtis in 2023 as a substitute officer, has become a cherished legacy. These name tags will be prominently displayed on their desks during official events and meetings, symbolizing the dedication and unity within the KCHS BPA family.

The KCHS BPA chapter looks forward to an exciting and productive year under the guidance of its new leadership team.
