The Vice President of the Kirtland Central High School Chapter of Business Professionals of America (BPA) is the second-highest leadership position within the student-led organization. The vice president plays a pivotal role in supporting the president, coordinating chapter activities, and fostering communication among members, officers, and advisors.
In alignment with the national BPA structure, the vice president is responsible for assisting in the planning and execution of meetings, projects, and competitive events. This role may include overseeing committee operations, representing the chapter at local and state conferences, and stepping in to fulfill the duties of the president when necessary.
The vice president is elected by the chapter’s members through a democratic voting process at the start or end of the school year. The position serves a one-year term and requires a strong commitment to teamwork, leadership, and the professional values upheld by BPA—including leadership, citizenship, academic excellence, and service.
At Kirtland Central High School, the chapter vice president acts as a role model to fellow students and a key driver of chapter engagement, helping promote BPA’s mission of preparing students for careers in business, finance, information technology, and other related fields.
