Kester served as the Information Technology Representative for the KCHS BPA during the 2024–2025 academic year. In this role, he supported digital communications, tech operations, and organizational logistics for the chapter.

In 2024, Kester participated in Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) advocacy efforts at the New Mexico State Legislature, where he discussed funding for BPA programs and Navajo Nation education plans with Representative Joseph Hernandez.
