The Kirtland Central High School Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter is implementing a new policy with the introduction of BILL NO. 002, known as the Membership ID# Requirement Act. This legislation was introduced by Secretary Rodzaiah Curtis on February 4, 2024, at lastnights chapter meeting.

The purpose of the Membership ID# Requirement Act is to establish the requirement for all BPA members and officials to present their BPA Membership ID# for various organizational activities. This includes clocking in and out, gaining entry to events, and voting. The BPA Membership ID# will serve as a unique identifier, ensuring accurate attendance records and participation.

Penalties for non-compliance with this policy include denial of entry to events and the inability to record attendance. Members are required to carry their BPA Membership ID# at all times and present it upon request. Confidentiality is also emphasized, with members prohibited from copying or forwarding any information provided by the BPA organization. Violations of this policy may result in probation, writeups, or suspension from the organization.

The act was introduced at the chapter meeting, where all officers voted in favor, with one abstention. The general membership also voted in favor of the act, with four members voting against it.

This new policy aims to promote accountability and ensure that all members and officials meet the necessary standards for active participation in the organization's activities.
