Kirtland Central High School's Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter made a significant impact at the Santa Fe Roundhouse Day.

President Justin Harrison, Vice President Emily Roanhorse, Secretary Rodzaiah Curtis, Reporter Madison Medley, and nominated members Patieya Curtis, Phillip Horsley, Jacob Martin, and Aspen Vieth represented the chapter at this important event.

The group attended the event to meet with their district representatives and senators, advocating for Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) funding to help students attend conferences and obtain necessary training materials. "This is a huge deal because we are a low-income school," stated Secretary Curtis, highlighting the importance of securing additional resources for their chapter.

During their visit, the KCHS BPA members met with Representative Mark Duncan of San Juan, who provided valuable insights and support for their cause. The group also enjoyed a tour of the Governor's Office, where they received New Mexico flag pins as a token of appreciation.
In a special moment, the KCHS BPA members were recognized in the House of Representatives by Rep. Mark Duncan, further emphasizing the significance of their advocacy efforts.
The KCHS BPA chapter continues to strive for excellence, demonstrating their dedication to improving educational opportunities and resources for all students.
