The Kirtland Central High School Business Professionals of America (KCHS BPA) is thrilled to share that our chapter has been featured in an article by Alx Lee, a reporter for the Tri-City Record. The story, titled "Career and Technical Education Remains Crucial in State Jobs," highlights our incredible experience at the Roundhouse during CTSO Day, held on January 23 and 24, 2025.
The article underscores the importance of Career and Technical Education (CTE) in shaping the future workforce of New Mexico. KCHS BPA students joined over 500 Career Technical Student Organization members from across the state to advocate for the value of CTE and showcase their skills to legislators and other leaders at the state capitol.
Our students had the opportunity to connect with peers, engage with policymakers, and participate in activities that emphasized the critical role of CTE in preparing students for in-demand careers. It was an inspiring and empowering experience for everyone involved, and we are honored to have our participation featured in the Tri-City Record.
We encourage everyone to check out the article, which shines a spotlight on the dedication and talent of KCHS BPA and all the CTSO members who took part. Together, we are shaping a brighter future for our community and state through education, leadership, and service.
